i would definitely eat babies just to make more babies with the creators of mirrormask. such a beautiful movie. monkeybirds and circus freaks and orbiting giants. it was just…really well done. and going mid-afternoon means it was cheaper than ever. which in my book, is a good thing. the whole thing totally reminded me of a childhood book…only wandering through the pages instead of reading them. and while it had a very neverending story-ish feel to it at some parts, it was so much better. possibly perhaps because i’ve never quite forgiven hollywood for taking an awesome story and turning into such a crappy series of movies.
and at any rate, i’ve been wanting to see this movie forever now, and since it was only showing at the kendall and i had the day off, it seemed like the perfect time to take advaantage and finally take in a showing. such a good idea, such a good movie. plus, i got to swing by the smoke shop in harvard square and marvel at all the interesting tobacco products. pipes are funny things. i don’t think i’d ever smoke one, but i almost want to because they make me laugh. i probably won’t, though.
now i just have to think up a reason to see the movie again. or at the very least, i think i should someday own it. and maybe the soundtrack. i don’t know why, but the sound track reminded me of a music box. and now i totally want to go to the circus, too.
