i think if nacho were to be able to use human words — instead of his constant, incessant, whiny, endless MEWS! — he would do so in a french accent, in french, even!
this does not make nacho more classy, only more annoying.

was a bit more low key than some years, but still successful at the very least. there was some food (chinese for the holiday, natch), some booze, an dsome mild frolicking.
it’s really nice in the city when everyone is gone, the streets are quiet, the stores are empty. of course, then black friday hits and it’s like AVOID THE FUCK OUT OF HUMANITY!
avoid avoid avoid.
the point is:
god bless car bombs.
so, normally i would not be so excited about such things, but honestly? i’m pretty stoked about the upcoming wedding festivities next month. odd, right?
but when you think about it, a lot of it is not your general wedding fuckery, so it’s going to be great:
plus, we have a super awesome room in the cutest b&b right in manitou, and i’m super excited about that as well.
next month may shape up to be pretty awesome, here’s hoping i can survive until then!
yesterday, whilst running errands, the boy and i came across a carnival in newton. we didn’t get to stop because we had plans for the evening, but today? today was all about carnival! wooo!
there was a ferris wheel, a tilt-a-whirl, a sea dragon, some crazy ass thing that threw us around until we couldn’t see straight and everything. we went on a few rides, but totally ended up dizzy as shit.
i think it was for the boys and girls club of newton or some shit, but whatever, it was fun! and because of the shitty weather we’ve had this weekend, there weren’t even that many kids around and the crowd was pretty manageable. of course, it was about 1/4th the size of the arkansas valley fair and not anywhere near the size of the state fair, but all in all, fun was had!
and then, a nap was had.
this weekend, the boy and i ventured out to new hampshire to check out the classic arcade museum — aka funspot — in laconia.
the drive was longer than expected, but nicely scenic. we’ve been pretty run down over the last week so saturday was pretty much making it to new hampshire and then passing the fuck out. our hotel was awesome: a surprisingly good deal, every room had it’s own private balcony or patio, 2 pools, a jacuzzi and a spiffy little pub right across the street. i wish we could’ve spent more time there. on the whole, the entire lakeside area was a nice change of pace. the weather was gorgeous and everything was calm and peaceful.
then we hit up the arcade…
this weekend the boy and i drove to portsmouth, nh. we’ve been through, or around, but never actually stopped before. it was one exceptionally long weekend, though.
first we had to go to the office to pick up our new (new to us) table and chairs, which are uber spifftacular. it was a fuckin’ ordeal. seriously. we were nearly defeated by a heavy-as-shit table, though. that shit is heavier than it looks. we didn’t actually make it out of town until around 5 pm, but saturday had to be officially the nicest day of the entire year. you know, so far. nearly 70°, sunny, cool breeze, clear skies, magic.
also, we made our first run up to MA’s only sonic. motherfuckers in MA are ridiculous, it’s like they don’t even know how to deal with a sonic. gettin’ up out of their cars and going INSIDE sonics to EAT FOOD? wtf is that? ridonkulous.
portsmouth was better than expected, and there were many tasty treats to be had. overall, the weather was decent. i found probably one of the best little jewelry stores ever, too, and finally got some amber jewelry. and a really awesome ring. and i replenished my peppercorn supplies (most crucial).
overall, not too bad. and now, i begin hell week at work…(it is hellish)
just got my first boston organics delivery last night (well, actually they stopped by yesterday sometime while i was at work).
everything worked out swimmingly and it appears just FANTASTIC so far. in this week’s box, i received:

i am so excited for this service, and can’t wait to try out my new tasty produce. now, i just need recipes!
