i’m not 100% sure yet, but i’m leaning more and more towards getting a DSLR with my apple store gift card. i was hoping to pick it up in the store directly — ideally in NH to avoid sales tax — but apparently apple doesn’t do that anymore.
weird.
and annoying. but that’s something i’ve come to expect from the physical apple stores. still on the fence about whether or not i’ll get an ipad, but who knows, i just might?
there are definitely aspects of them i’m interested in. maybe next time i’m at the apple store i’ll actually play with one for a while…

i’m also being super paranoid about backups lately so i’m working out a plan that will combine online cloud backups, physical hard drives and possibly getting/setting up a time machine to run backups on my macbook pro and the boy’s as well. also, i need a better NAS solution for the living room/our media centers.
